Manuscript received 22 September 1976, revised 17 March 1977, accepted 11 April 1977 Various 2-(sulfamyl substituted anilino)-4-( substituted phenyl ) thiazoles were prepared by the condensation of different l-chloroacetophenones with few sulfamyl substituted phenyl thioureas. The presence of imino (-NH-) and -SO2NH2 groups were confirmed by IR spectra. Some of the type compounds were tested against antibacterial activity and found to be ineffective.
