- Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi-110029 Manuscript received 14 January 1977 ; accepted 18 March 1977 Manganese(M) pyrophosphate can be isolated from manganese(II), cobalt(II, nickel(II), copper(II) and selenium(IV) by passing through an anion exchanger De Acidite FF at pH \(\approx\) 2.5 and eluting it out by 1M tetra potassium pyrophosphate at pH \(\approx\) 6. The distribution coefficient has been determined. The effect of pH and concentration of tetrapotasslum pyrophosphate on the elution of manganese(III) pyrophosphate has also been studied.
