- Ramnarain Ruia College, Bombay-400019 Manuscript received 11 March 1976, revised 5 November 1976, accepted 10 November 1976 Vanadiun forms a reddish violet complex with 2-2'-diamino-diphenyl-disulphide ia tbe presence of H2SO4 or HCl. The complex has an extinction co-efficient of 1.9 X103 and obeys Beer's law between 15-50 ppm. The molar composition of the complex is found to be 1 : 2. Interference of various cations and anions have been reported.
