- Department of Chemistry, Lady Brabourne College, Calcutta-700 017 The electrophoretic mobility of oil-droplet.t dispersed in the aqueous solution of fulvic acids bas been measured at ionic strengths 0.01 and 0.10. The oils used are benzene, toluene and xylene. From the values of U, \(\zeta\)-potentials have been evaluated. It has been observed that C Increases with the increase in adsorption. It is evident that with in the range of concentration of FAn for which the plot or \(\zeta\) vs. log C is linear, the ratio of Stern layer potential to \(\zeta\)-patential remains constant.
