  • Worldwide every year industries generate tons of sugarcane waste or bagasse in the form of waste matter and residual matter. It provides a great source of complex cellulosic and lignocellulosic materials along with it also useful for a low carbon source as well as growth medium of fungal species. Present work was aimed to isolate and screen the fungal species from sugarcane bagasse. The sugarcane waste is the potential media of growth to several fungal species like Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger, Fusarium species, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and some more unidentified species of which one species of fungus showed remarkable colorless hyphae or Orange color at top of the filament of hyphae. this type of fungus was typically seen first’ time and not earlier, so the sample was collected from the sugarcane bagasse and grown on the standard media such as, potato dextrose agar, sabouraud dextrose agar as well as cornmeal agar this above-mentioned medium was capable of supplying the nutrients for fungus and to preventthe growth of unwanted fungus and some bacteria hence may be this study can also be led to discover the new fungal species as well as to Unidentified species and their remarkable use and disadvantage to the land, crop plant, and environment.
