The reduction waves in 0.1 M LiCI corresponded to one electron reduction These are diffusion controlled and irreversible in nature. The values of k° f,h lie between 10-9 to 10-11 cm-1s-1. The irreversitle behaviour may be interpreted in terms of 'Loosening' of the chromium(IIl) complex during reduction from Cr(III) to Cr(ll). The complexes have been characterised by chemical analysis, conductance measurements and infrared spectra.
