- Department of Chemistry, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur-302 004 A number of new polyfluoriated \(tris\) europium 1,3-diketonates have been synthesized by treatment of appropriate polyftuorlaatecll,3-diketoaes with europium chloride Ia methanol. All these compounds have been charaeterized by their elemental analysis and spectral studies, viz., fr, 1H nmr and mass. Important absorption peaks are observed ia the reaions1620.1540 em-1 (C-0), 1540·1400 em-1 (C=C), 1000-850 em-1 (C-F), In 1H nmr, a sharp singlet at δ (6.2-6.4) ppm due to metbine proton (=CH) bn been obaened.
