The reduction of Tl(I) .has been made in presence of various sodium salts as supporting electrolytes at a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE). Tile correlation of cathodic and anodic peak currents and the difference in cathodic and anodic peak potentials with the voltage scan rates indicate that the reduction of Tl(I) is not reversible.
