- The number of NHI Independent participants in Indonesia continues to increase despite the fact that it is not matched by the regularity of paying dues for independent NHI participants. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of income on the regularity of paying dues for independent NHI participants after the increase in contributions in Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. This type of research is quantitative research using a cross sectional study approach. The research sample was 98 people. Data was collected by means of interviews and observations. Data analysis was performed by Univariate and Bivariate. Presentation of data in the form of frequency distribution accompanied by explanations. The results showed that there was an effect of income on the regularity of paying dues for independent NHI participants after the contribution increase policy in Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, with a value of p = 0.034 (p <0.05). Conclusion; there is an effect of income on the regularity of paying dues for independent NHI participants after the contribution increase policy. Suggestion; It is necessary to develop an economic recovery strategy to increase people's income, in order to support the regularity of paying dues for independent NHI participants.
