- Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi, Delhi-110 007 Manuscript received 19 October 1981, revised 98 January 1983, accepted 10 March 1983 (i-C3H7C5H4)2 TiF2 has been prepared from (i-C3H7C5H4)2TiCl2 by the action of NH4F in aqueous medium and its halogen exchange reactions with halo acids have been studied in aqueous medium. Exchange reactions of [(C5H5)(CH3C5H4)]TiCl2 and (i-C3H7C5H4)2 TiCI2 with boron trihalides have also been studied in nonaqueous medium. The products of exchange reactions have been characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight, conductivity, ir and 1H nmr spectroscopy.
