The complexes contain two molecules of the Schiff base which function as a monodentate ligand coordinating through only its azoinethine group while the rest of the positions in the coordination geometry of the metal(II) ions are occupied by water molecules. The magnetic and spectroscopic data of the complexes are discussed in the light of structures assigned.
