- Department of Chemistry, College of Education, University of Mosul, Mosul, Iraq Manuscript received 22 July 1983, revised 19 May 1984, accepted 20 September 1984 The complexes of the type [In(LH)3]X3 , [ln(LH)3X3], [In(LH)2X2],X, [In(LH)2X2]X and [In(L)2].2H2O [where LH= the neutral molecules of benzoylhydrazine (BH, C6H5CONHNH2), salicyloylhydraziue (SH, o-OH-C6H4CONHNH2), paramethoxy-benzoylhydrazine ( PMBH, \(\mathcal{p}\)-MeO-C5H4CONHNH2) and paranitrobenzoylhydrazine (PNBH,\(\mathcal{p}\)-NO3-C6H4 CONHNH2 ), and X= Cl-, Br-,\(NO^{-}_3\) , \(SO^{2-}_4\)] have been prepared by reacting indium(II) salts with the suitable ligand and characterised by elemental analysis, infrared spectra and molar conductivity measurements.
