Copper and uranyl chelates of substituted succinic and malonic acids have been studied by Calvin-Bjerrum potentiometric titration technique at 30° and 0.1 M ionic strength. It was observed that CulI forms 1 : 1 and 1 : 2 chelates with malonic acids and 1 : 1 chelate with succinic acid in an aqueous medium. All the chelates, except those of mercapto-substituted succinic acids, follow the relationship log K == apE+ b.
