(G-PREL [G00360111]!). = Polypodium dichotomum Thunb. in Murr., Syst. Veg. ed. 14: 512. V-VI.1784. Lectotypus (designated here by Callmander): JAPAN: Thunberg s.n. (UPS-THUNB n° 25247 image seen; isolecto-: G-PREL [G00349561]!, UPS-THUNB n° 25244 and n° 25245 images seen). Notes. – The original material of Polypodium pedatum is in the Japan herbarium in G-PREL. This collection is a very good match for the plate and is designated here as the lectotype. Thunberg in MURRAY (1784: 512) described P. dichotomum based on the same Thunberg collection in his herbarium. This name is also cited in THUNBERG (1784: 338, tab. 37).
