- University Department of Chemistry, University of Bihar, Muzaffarpur-842 001 Manuscript received 11 March 1988, revised 11 October 1988, accepted 14 December 1988 Complexes of Cull, NiII, CoII, FeII, MnII, CrIII, ZnII, CdII and HgII with 3-amino-2-me thylquinazoline-4(3H)-2',4' dinitrophenylhydra zone have been synthesised and characterised on the basis of elemental analysis, TGA, conductance, magnetic, infrared, electronic, 1H nmr and esr spectral data. Infrared spectra of the complexes reveal bidentate coordination by the ligand through amino nitrogen and anilino nitrogen.
