Et, i-Pr ; R"=benzyl ; Ri"---morpholine, 4,6-dimethylmorpholine, 4-methylpiperazine or 4-metbylpiperidine, have been prepared by the reaction of tri-n-butyltin chloride with the respective sodium salt of dithiocarbamic acid in 1 : 1 molar ratio in dry acetone. The ir and 1H nmr spectral studies of these dithiocarbamato complexes indicate unidentate behaviour of dithiocarbamate moiety with the central tin metal atom having a coordination number four.
