From these studies monomeric bridged structures for the complexes have been proposed. These structures are supported by softness calculations and Pearson's HSAB principle. Ligands prefer M(II) for coordination. Thiocyanate and selenocyanate coordinate through N-end to M(II) and S- or Se-end to Ti(I). Stability constants of the complexes which were calculated by the shifts in carbonyl stretching frequency of amide, show direct relationship with their decomposition temperatures and reciprocal relationship with the amount of shifts ( ∆ \(\vartheta\)CO). Thermogravimetric analysis shows that the ligands are decomposed earlier than thiocyanate and selenocyanate.
