On Variation of the Transference Number of an Ion of a Strong Electrolyte in Solution according to Cube-root of its Concentration

The expression for the modified kappa, km, deduced theoretically, includes within it 'the effective ionic diameter' a and varies according to cube-root of concentration of the electrolyte in solution so long as a (the effective ionic diameter) remains constant Equations for the cationic transference numbers of the strong electrolytes deduced by using the modified km have been subjected to test using the data available in the litera­ture and have been found satisfactory.
