Holotype female with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil | S. Paulo | Juquiá | 300m. | Feb. 22. 41 [February 22, 1941] | Travassos; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “ HOLOTYPE Ψ | Gonomyia | nigrolutea | C. P. Alexander”. Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle. Missing parts: antennae, right wing and legs.
