  • Subfamily Tibicininae Distant, 1905 (Tettigadinae sensu Moulds, 2005) Tribe Platypediini Kato, 1932 Platypedia aperta Van Duzee, 1915 new record. The SDMC has specimens from Baja California Norte, 12.2 km South of Santa Tomas, 24 –V– 1973. The CASC has specimens from Baja California Norte, San Vicente, 11 –V– 1938. The species has previously been reported from California (Metcalf 1963 c). Platypedia australis Davis, 1941. The species is only known from Mexico (Metcalf 1963 c). It has been reported from Nuevo León (Davis 1941). Platypedia minor Uhler, 1888 new record. The AMNH has specimens from Sinaloa, Mazatlan. The collection date is difficult to decipher and is either 1954 or 1957. The species has previously been reported from California, Nevada and Colorado (Metcalf 1963 a). Tribe Tettigadini Distant, 1905 Tettigades mexicana Distant, 1881. The species has been reported from Mexico, Arizona, and Argentina (Metcalf 1963 c). However, the validity of the type location has been questioned and was called an error by Torres (1958) in his revision of the genus. All remaining members of the genus are found in Chile and Argentina (Metcalf 1963 c, Duffels & van der Laan 1985). Inclusion of the species in the Mexican fauna should be questioned until new specimens can be collected or specimens of T. mexicana are collected in another geographic location. Tribe Tibicinini Distant, 1905 Tibicinoides cupreosparsa (Uhler, 1889). The species is known from California and Mexico (Metcalf 1963 c). The author has identified specimens from Baja California Norte. Okanagana aurantiaca Davis, 1917. The species is only known from Baja California (Metcalf 1963 c). The author has identified specimens from Baja California Norte and Sonora. Clidophleps astigma Davis, 1917. The species is only known from Mexico (Metcalf 1963 c).
