- Petascelis affinis Dallas (Figs. 2, 7) Petascelis affinis Dallas, 1852: 382. Diagnosis. Male. This species is distinguished by having antennal segment IV fusiform with apex acute; metasternum laterally carinate and armed with small blunt tubercle (Fig. 2); fore and middle tibiae dilated, both dorsal and ventrally; junction between abdominal sterna III and IV produced into a distinct bifid tubercle, each tubercle large and conical-shaped (Fig. 7); and genital capsule simple, with posteroventral edge slightly concave and not exposed. The female has metasternum unarmed; fore tibiae dilated, both dorsal and ventrally; middle tibiae dorsally dilated, and ventrally straight; and abdominal sterna unarmed. Type locality. AFRICA: SOUTH AFRICA (without data) (BMNH, type male examined) Distribution. This species is known from Kenya (Konso) and South Africa (without data) (Blöte 1938, Dallas 1852)
