  • Basiliola lucida (Gould, 1862) (Fig. 3 A, B) This species was found on three seamounts and also on the southern slope of New Caledonia (Tables 1, 2) at depths of 276–550 m (Fig. 14). It is reported here the first time from the Norfolk Ridge, although it was already noted from New Caledonia (Laurin 1997). Basiliola lucida was originally described from off Japan (Hatai 1940; Cooper 1959). Recently it was also found in the Fiji region (Bitner 2008).
