Material. La Guajira, Riohacha, Carriker leg./ 1914: ANSP 151814; Magdalena, Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, watershed between Rio Frio and Quebrada del Páramo, 2875 m, in humid forest [selva andina], Cleef et al. leg./ viii. 1977: RMNH. “ Colombia:” ZMUZ 511590, ZMUZ 511591 (both not seen). Altitudinal range. The only precise locality is at 2875 m. Remarks. The material collected by Carriker probably originated from higher altitudes than Riohacha (which is at sea level), on the eastern side of the Sierra.
