Populations from Azerbaijan are intermediate between S. striata and S. albiventris; the records of S. albiventris fom Daghestan refer to S. striata (Kanyukova 1994). Sigara (Sigara) assimilis (Fieber, 1848) Corixa assimilis Fieber, 1848: 525 (as new species); Corisa fussi Fieber, 1864: 208. Distribution in Iran. Bushehr, East Azarbaijan, Khuzestan (Linnavuori 2009), West Azarbaijan (Wagner 1961; Linnavuori 2009; Ghahari et al. 2010 a), Iran (no locality cited) (Aukema & Rieger 1995; Linnavuori & Hosseini 2000; Linnavuori et al. 2011).
