Ponto-European, Central Asia (Andersen 1995; Fent et al. 2011). Gerris (Gerriselloides) kiritshenkoi Kanyukova, 1979 Gerris kiritshenkoi Kanuykova, 1979: 51 (as new species). Distribution in Iran. Guilan (Linnavuori & Hosseini 2000). General distribution. Azerbaijan, Iran. Comments. Linnavuori (1994) recorded G. kiritshenkoi from Iraq but this identification is erroneous and belongs to G. kabaishanus Linnavuori, 1998 (see Fent et al. 2011). Gerris (Gerriselloides) lateralis (Schummel, 1832) Gerris lateralis Schummel, 1832: 39 (as new species); Gerris asper var. obscuratus Wagner, 1937: 7; Geris lateralis asper Southwood & Leston, 1959: 349. Distribution in Iran. Alborz (New material), Yazd (China 1938). General distribution. Euro-Asian (cited from Far Eastern Russia) (Andersen 1995; Fent et al. 2011).
