Gamonts of M. darjeelingensis are cylindroids in shape: 210.0 − 273.0 (231.0 ± 2.0) μm × 84.0 − 40.0 (98.0±1.8) μm. Nucleus spheroid or ovoid with 26.0 − 40.0 (31.0±0.5) μm × 20.0 − 32.0 (27.0±0.5) μm. Spherical gametocyst measures 147.0 − 163.0 (156.0±0.4) μm; navicular oocyst measures 15.4 − 18.0 (17.0 ±1.0)μm × 8.0 − 9.0 (8.2 ±0.5) μm.
