As a part of the extension of the programme on oxidation of some substituted-phenyl methyl sulphides by vanadium(v) and lead tetraacetate, we obtained kinetic evidence for the said phenomenon. We report here our results on oxidation of some substituted phenyl methyl sulphides with vanadium(v) and lead tetraacetate.
