- Genus Monstranusia Trjapitzin The genus Monstranusia contains only two species (Noyes 2015), M. antennata (Narayanan 1960) and M. mirabilissima Trjapitzin (1964), both macropterous and possibly synonymous (Noyes & Hayat 1994). The new species described here is brachypterous, and does not run correctly to genus in the keys dealing with brachypterous forms, but it would key correctly to Monstranusia if the specimen was taken through keys as if it had full wings (e.g. Prinsloo & Annecke 1979; Noyes & Hayat 1984, 1994; Trjapitzin 1989; Hayat 2006).
