Up to 50 mm (Okutani 2000). Ecological notes. Development planktotrophic (Reid et al. 2008). Abundant in outer mangal zone. Lives on mud surface under mangrove trees and occasionally climbs onto mangrove roots. Mostly mangal component but it is also reported to occur in the absence of mangroves (Lozouet & Plaziat 2008). In studied sites it was found on the mud surface under mangrove trees and on roots and seedlings of mangrove trees. Relation to mangroves. Predominantly mangrove-associated. Distribution in Vietnam. Northern-east coast, central coast, southern delta (Thach 2005). General distribution. From Okinawa and South China to North Queensland, from Sumatra to Solomon Is (Lozouet & Plaziat 2008).
