  • Anisoscelis (Anisoscelis) discolor (Stål) (Fig. 18) Diactor discolor Stål, 1854: 235 Diagnosis. Head pale to dark yellowish castaneous; antennal segment I brown with inner face pale yellow, segments II–III brown with basal and apical joint yellow, IV dark brownish castaneous with apical third paler; pronotum dark castaneous, punctures darker, calli pale castaneous, anterolateral borders black; scutellum dark castaneous and apically yellow; clavus and corium dark castaneous with costal and apical margins yellow; hemelytral membrane pale brown, veins darker; connexivum yellow, inner margin brown; abdomen dorsally black with metallic bluish-green reflections; ventrally pale yellow; labial segments I–II pale yellow, III–IV pale castaneous; coxae, trochanters, femora, fore tibiae, middle tibiae and tarsi yellow; inner expansion of hind tibiae dark reddish with basal and wide transverse stripe close to midline yellow; outer expansion dark reddish with proximal and distal third yellow; inner angle of posterior margin of mesopleura with black to dark brown discoidal spot close to anterior lobe of metathoracic peritreme; labium reaching posterior border of abdominal sternite III; humeral angles subacute, directed backward. Distribution. Stål (1854) described A. discolor from Taiti? (sic) and later was recorded from Ecuador (Campos 1925). The genus has an exclusive Neotropical distribution therefore, I consider that the original data was a result of a mistaken label. Ecuador: Guayaquil (Campos 1925, Packauskas 2010). Type material examined. Holotype female: Taiti (sic), Kinb. (NHRS). Material examined. New records. 1 male, Ecuador, Manabi, Pedernales, 24-I-1999, leg. G. Onore (UNAM). 1 female, Ecuador, Los Rios Quevedo, 2-V-1986, leg. D. H. Habeck (FSCA). Biological notes. Associated with Passiflora edulis Sims (Passifloraceae).
