  • 213. Spialia ploetzi occidentalis de Jong, 1977 WL: 14mm. This is a forest species, though it may also occur in savanna. The present subspecies ranges along West Africa from Guinea-Bissau to Nigeria, while the nominate subspecies is distributed from Cameroon to Congo and DRC, Uganda, western Kenya and northwestern Tanzania. The caterpillars feed on Tiliaceae. Studied material. Cacheu: Caió, rare (JB). Quinara: Buba (ABRI, seen by Larsen). Previous references. Regions: Without a precise location.
