- 117. Bicyclus sandace (Hewitson, 1877) WL: 20mm. B. sandace is a forest species that may also occur in secondary forest, riverine forest and dense savanna. It is known from Senegal to Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea (Bioko Island), Congo, CAR, DRC, Angola, Ethiopia, Uganda, west of Tanzania and of Kenya and Zambia. The caterpillars feed on Poaceae. Studied material. Cacheu: Caió, 12 specimens (JB). Gabú: Beli, 4-5.07.2009, 2♂ (BS 28992, 29351). Previous references. Regions: Bafatá. Authors: Bivar-de-Sousa et al. (2008a).
