Korea; China (Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Yunnan, Zhejiang). Remarks. This species was described from the following specimens from Korea with the following data: “Holotype Ƌ, Whasan, IX 1974; allotype ♀, the same with holotype, and paratypes: 15Ƌ, 18♀, the same with holotype and allotype; Taegu, 1♀, 24, VII, 1971; Samsan near Taegu, 1♀, 15, VI, 1975.”. The types have not been examined and the identity of the species is based on the figures of Kwon & Lee (1979). This species is similar to S. dindorensis (Pruthi, 1930: 38, plate III, 6 & 6a, text-fig. 51–53), but differs in having the male pygofer without macrosetae. This species is also similar to S. lahorensis (Distant), but the latter has a longer and more acute vertex (see Khatri & Webb, 2010, Fig. 24.)
