Diagnosis: A medium-sized Petrobrasia species with the following peculiarities: lateral outline stretched out, dorsal outline very slimly biconvex; fine sculpture: moderately fine, mostly only indistinctly protruding little ridges on the shell surface of both valves, running approximately parallel to the lengthways margins. Maximum carapace height approximately in the centre of the carapace. Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 5384. Paratypes: 1 carapace SMF Xe 5385, 1 carapace SMF Xe 5386. Dimensions: Holotype, length 0.80mm, height 0.41mm, width 0.25mm.
