- Hyetussa alternata (Gertsch, 1936) comb. nov. Bredana alternata Gertsch, 1936: 21 (female holotype from 15 miles [24.14 Km] SW of Harlingen [26.18°N, 97.69°W], Texas, United States, 18.XI.1934, S. Mulaik, deposited in AMNH, examined); World Spider Catalog 2017. Diagnosis. Females resemble those of H. mesopotamica in lacking spines on the tibia I, but differ by the shape of the epygine, longer than wide in this species (see Gertsch 1936: fig. 30), vs wider than longer in H. mesopotamica (see Galiano 1976b: fig. 48). Description. Male. Unknown. Female. See Gertsch (1936). Distribution. Known only from the USA (Gertsch 1936).
