A species widely spread in Africa (e.g. Cape Vert, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Nigeria, Angola, Congo, D. R. of the Congo, Zimbabwe and Rwanda) (Straneo 1956, 1958, 1959, 1968). The single male was collected by light trapping within a secondary open forest. It is a new record for the Bié Province.
