- M. picipes Herbst, 1793 (Fattig 1937) (Figs. 2G, 3) Habitat and Biology: An adventive species native to the Palearctic, this species is collected in decaying plant matter such as compost heaps, Fuligo septica -infested bark chips, and grass piles, usually with pitfall trapping and Berlese extractions, but also with Lindgren funnel traps baited with ethanol.
