Kinetics of Chelation of Cobalt(II) with α-Amino-,β-indolepropionic Acid

Rate constants for the complex formation of cobalt(II)-\(\propto\)-amino-β-lndolepropionic acid complex have been determined by the stopped-flow technique. A new reaction scheme on the basis of complete chelation process, which fits best our kinetic data, has been suggested. Specific rate constants corresponding to the different reactive forms of the ligand have been calculated. Activation parameters corresponding to different specific rate constants have also been determined.
