Synthesis of some novel (1-substituted-5-phenyl-3-trifluoromethyl-1H-pyrazol-4- yl)-(substituted benzothiazol-2-yl)-diazene and their antifungal activity

- Department of Chemistry, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur-302 004, Rajasthan, India E-mail : sareenparmod@yahoo.com Manuscript received 24 February 2010, revised 6 April 2010. accepted 31 May 2010 Diazonium sult of substituted 2-aminobenzothlazole (I) bas been reacted with 1-phenyl-4,4,4-trifluorobutam- 1,3-dione (2) to give compound 3 which on reaction with different hydrazines gives 1-substltuted-5-pbenyl-3-trifluoromethyl- 1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-(subslituted-benzotblazol-2-yl)-diazene (4). These compounds have been evaluated for their antlfungal activity. The structures of all these compound have been confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, Mass spectral, 19F NMR and elemental analysis. All the synthesized compounds showed significant antifungal activity anginst selected plant pathogenic fungi
