The complexes were found to be coloured solid and were highly soluble only in DMF and DMSO. These complexes have been characterized by elemental (Ln, C, H, N and Cl) analysis and spectral (IR, 1H NMR and FAB-MS) data, and magnetic studies; whereas the structural composition of the complex have been determined by FAB-MS spectral studies and X-ray diffraction studies of the complex [(CI)2 Y(L)(H20)4) (3) was found to be 252.054 Å .
