Type material: MHNG-INVE-64717, one syntype (Moricand coll.). Remarks: Moricand (1836) wrote “le très-petit nombre d’individus que M. Blanchet en a pu recueillir”, without specifying the number of specimens. The current systematic position follows Simone (2006). Current systematic position: Odontostomidae, Tomigerus clausus (Spix, 1827).
