- We provide the custom made computer codes that were used to produce Figure 3B, C and D in the article (https://doi.org/10.1101/2020.06.02.129262) - Main.m contains the code to load the data and execute the functions that are defined below to analyse the data. - Nematic3D.m contains the code to compute a nematic tensor or orientational field in 3D from an experimental 3d intensity map. An example of the experimental data is shown in Fig 3A. - Figures_manuscript_promig.m contains the code to compute different variables associated with the nematic tensor field and make some plots, including the type of Fig. 3C and 3D. In these panels, the histograms of the elevation and the azimuthal angle of the orientation field are plotted as a function of the z-plane. - Figura_ellipsoids.m contains the code to produce a representation of the averaged nematic tensor as a field of ellipsoids, which characterise the local orientation of the director field and the local degree of anisotropy. This code produces a figure of the type of Fig 3B.
