- Phytoseius woodburyi De Leon, 1965 Phytoseius (Phytoseius) woodburyi De Leon, 1965: 130. Phytoseius (Dubininellus) woodburyi. — Denmark, 1966: 64. Diagnosis. Female: dorsal idiosomal shield reticulate throughout; bearing 15 pairs of setae, j4, j5, j6, z2, z4, z5 and J5 minute, others long, serrated and broad, s4 > s6 > Z4 > Z5; j3 slightly longer than distance j3–j4.; r3 on dorsal shield, R1 absent. Sternal shield smooth, bearing three pairs of setae and two pairs of lyrifissures, posterior margin of sternal shield serrated. Peritremes extending forward to bases of j1. Ventrianal shield longer than wide, vase-shaped, smooth, bearing three pairs of pre-anal setae, solenostomes gv3 small and round, posterior to JV2 and located on lateral to 1/2 ventrianal shield margin. Calyx of spermathecal apparatus cup-shaped, atrium as wide as major duct. Cheliceral movable digit with one tooth, fixed digit with four teeth. Leg IV with four obvious macrosetae, stout, broad and bleb-shaped. Specimen examined. Rarotonga: Tevas Villa, 1 deutonymph, ex. balloon vine (Cardiospermum grandiflorum) leaves, 24 October 2017, by Q.-H. Fan; 1 female, locality and plant same as above-mentioned, 25 October 2017; Papua stream, 8 females, ex. Malvaceae leaves, 26 October 2017, same collector. Remarks: This species was originally described from Acrodiclidium salicifolium (Lauraceae) in Puerto Rico (De Leon 1965). It is mainly known from countries in the Neotropical region and also recorded from Hawaii, India and USA (Moraes et al. 2004; Demite et al. 2018). It is now recorded in the Cook Islands for the first time.
