  • Megachile (Callomegachile) disjuncta (Fabricius) FEMALE (Figs. 1–5). Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished by its pubescence. Face and tibia are with black, hypostome, vertex and first abdominal segment with pale white and pollen scopa with black pubescence. Head: Clypeus elevated medially, punctures coarse and close; supraclypeus slightly elevated; parocular area sloping laterally below level of antennae; carina distinct; subocellar area broadly convex, median groove obscure; mandibles broad at apex, the outer tooth acute; vertex broad, flattish, produced black; the back of head roundly emarginated; lateral ocelli nearer eye and each other than to occipital margin and nearer eye than to each other; vestibule reaching up to mid coxae in repose. Mesosoma: Scutum convex, striated, median and parapsidal lines distinct, pronotal lobes swollen but incarinate, punctures dense; scutellum broadly rounded posteriorly, nearly horizontal in profile; apex acute, median length longer than median groove but less than twice its length; first recurrent vein far from base than second which is close to apex of second submarginal cell, wing hyaline at base fuscous towards apex, veins black; forelegs coxae, trochanter simple, outer face closely punctate, anterior and posterior face smooth, apices of tarsi slightly excavated; hind legs simple and unmodified. Metasoma: Basal tergal concavity margin incarinate, pregrandular area narrowly shining along upper margin otherwise finely and closely punctate, vertical fold linear, postgrandular area short, slightly convex medially; graduli of terga 2–5 complete and linear, punctures coarse and close becoming crowded; basal sternum slightly elevated medially; graduli of sterna 2–5 linear and subcarinate. MALE (Figs. 6–11). Clypeus slightly convex, closely and finely punctate, apical margin notched medially, base, sides and apex of clypeus with long white pubescence; mandibles tridentate, apical tooth acute, lower surface without any process; fore coxae with short but acute spine, trochanters longer than broad, punctures close and fine on coxae. Floral Associations: Fabaceae (Cajanus cajan (L.), Crotalaria juncea (L.), Millettia pinnata (L.)), Verbenaceae (Duranta erecta L.). Recorded from Chandigarh, Dhanash and Hisar.
