  • Genus Celastrina Tutt (Fig. 10 E, F) Only one species of this genus is present in our area: Celastrina argiolus (Linnaeus). As in Cacyreus, Leptotes, Tarucus, and Zizeeria the annular zone is reduced and formed by a micropylar rosette with three petals and two series of rounded cells with chorionic granulations. The transition zone has high-walled cells and rounded corners. In the tubercle-aeropyle area the cells are grouped in hexagonal patterns with large star shaped tubercles with an aeropyle at their end.
