A species with a distribution throughout People`s Republic of Congo, D. R. of the Congo, Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi (Werner 2000 b, 2003). It seems to occur such as in clay soils as in sandy soils (Wellman & Horn 1908, Serrano & Capela 2013). The adults were found during day in countryside roads with withish sandy soils within open secondary forests. Further adult specimens of other tiger beetle species occur in syntopy in Catota (see P. angusticollis ecological remarks). It is a new record for Bié province.
