The catalyst NiFe2O4 ferrite prepared by co-precipitation method followed by calcination, and characterized by XRD, FT-IR, TG-DTA and SEM analysis for evaluating its structure and morphological analysis. Synthesis of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one/thione derivatives over NiFe2O4 offers several advantages over conventional method such as simple reaction conditions, high product yields, short reaction time and environmentally benign reaction conditions.
