Lophophytous, body sac-like or plate-like, with thin walls fixed by several tufts of anchorlike basalia or bundles of diactins surrounding a giant hexactin. Choanosomal spicules are diactins, rarely hexactins and their derivatives. Largest choanosomal spicules are hexactins with long tangential rays or rays of varying size.
