Myrmoborus lugubris (Cabanis). ASH-BREASTED ANTBIRD. Diagnosis. Distinguished from other genera in the longipes clade by plumage. Males all blackish with white wing covert edges or gray with distinctive black mask; most females with similar mask. Bill wide relative to length. Differs from Pyriglena in tail length and bill length proportions. Domed-shaped nest differs from nest of Myrmeciza.
