- This deliverable provides an overview of the most important use cases for deformable surface tracking and alpha matting in postproduction and visual effects workflows. It is based on the knowledge and experience about real-world productions of the project partners Moto (MOT) and Digital Graphics (DG) and other visual effects companies which have been also consulted. The report does not only discuss use cases where either tracking or matting tools are used, but also use cases where both tools are required to fulfill a certain task. Each of the use cases is discussed in a general way and illustrated with one or two examples which may be used for evaluating the developed tools later in the project.
